A Conversation with Arwen Lynch-Poe and Christiana Gaudet
Join Christiana Gaudet for a personal and intimate conversation with author and tarot guide Arwen Lynch-Poe, recorded to accompany Arwen’s in-person class in the Mindful Room. Arwen calls herself the Professional Joy Seeker, and it shows. This is a talk about what happens when you set the keywords down and simply let the cards speak.
Arwen’s approach is simple. Turn a card face up, ask what it would be saying right now, and answer as though a character were talking back. She and Christiana try it live, pulling cards and letting them argue, sulk, and make peace, and in a few minutes a story begins to appear. The point is not to be right. The point is to play, and to notice the surprising truth that play tends to surface.
Underneath the laughter is a serious idea both readers keep returning to: reverence and mirth belong in the same space. Getting out of the intellectual mind and into the imagination is not a detour from good reading, it is the road to it. The same third eye that holds our intuition holds our imagination too. Learn simple ways to carry the exercise back to your own meetup or reading practice.
Playful, funny, and quietly wise, this is a conversation for anyone who knows the cards well enough to loosen their grip, and for anyone brand new who has been waiting for permission to play.Join author Arwen Lynch-Poe to find new ways to listen to the cards. We will be doing a bit of role play and a whole lot of laughing. Heck! We might even learn something from each other. If you are keen to get another tool for your reading skills, don’t miss this workshop.
